It is so important that spiritual and emotional needs are tended to as well as physical needs. I think your pastoral program is great and wish that more hospitals did this.

I would like to know why these mothers are not charged with something, ie child endangering? These babies did not ask for this and to sit and watch what they go through is awful, I know I have a grandson there and his mother does not care she is going to have more kids until she gets a daughter, she used more heavely when she knew she was having a boy, she doesnt have custody of the first 3 and the 4th little boy almost died due to he got a hold of some pills and spent several days a children's. Where is the hope for these boys to get a way from her. Help the boys, she is addicted and will never let the pills goes not even to say her own kids. Please share how to get the boys to safety.

It's not a condition that will be blamed to bad parenting for example parents being unable to communicate typically with their child and some theory of physicians from years back that have been proved and corrected today. It is a unique disorder that might be genetic and on account of particular food eaten throughout pregnancy. Till now, we cannot pinpoint specifically what causes autism to develop on 1 child but at the very least we know it's not a result of bad parenting.

Excellent article and anything that helps the public become more aware of monitoring of medication to children is needed.

Errors can cost lives and everyone in medicine believes in the premise, Do No Harm....
